40 Cows Dead After Big-Rig Overturns in Calif Jul 20th 2012, 18:06 Forty dairy cows are dead after the restless animals shifted the weight in a trailer and toppled a big-rig at an intersection in Southern California. The Riverside Press-Enterprise ( http://bit.ly/Qhbg7W ) says 110 cows survived the Friday accident that shut down a San Jacinto intersection for six hours. The big-rig was hauling cows to a desert dairy in Brawley from a San Jacinto dairy. Investigators say the tractor-trailer rig was making a left turn from the eastbound Ramona Expressway to northbound Sanderson Avenue when it overturned.
