1. Six Arrested in UK Terror Probe
Six people have been arrested in London by British police on suspicion of terrorism. The five men and one woman range in age from 18 to 30 -- authorities say the arrests are not linked to the Olympics.

2. Hottest 4th of July Ever
Yesterday marked the hottest Independence Day in recorded history. More than 50 record highs were broken across the country on the 4th of July this year, and over 2,000 in the past week.

3. 3 Children Dead in NY Boat Capsize
Three children are dead after an overloaded boat capsized off the coast of Long Island on Wednesday night. Several victims were pulled out of the water by private and police boats.

4. 26 Dead From Power-cutting Storms
The death toll blamed on deadly, power-cutting storms is now at 26 after two accidents in Virginia. More storms are possible from the Rockies into the Ohio Valley today.

5. Smaller, Cheaper iPad Coming
Apple plans to debut a smaller, less expensive iPad by the end of the year, according to sources with knowledge of the plans. The company plans to debut the mini iPad to help maintain dominance over the tablet market.
