Hundreds of nursing home residents have been evacuated from the ravaged storm zone of the Rockaways section of New York City, where a severe storm is expected to hit today.
4. Nor'easter May Lead to Canceled Flights
Airlines are considering canceling flights in advance of a Nor'easter expected to hit the northeast coast just over a week after Hurricane Sandy. United Airlines is grounding about 500 flights out of the New York area starting at noon Wednesday.

On Election Day, conversations around the election totaled 32 million tweets with 23 million tweets sent after the first poll closed. Within minutes of clinching victory, @BarackObama's "Four more years" tweet quickly became his most retweeted tweet ever.
