A homeless military veteran has been charged with breaking into a Kansas television station and attacking several employees.

Shawnee County records show four felonies and two misdemeanors were filed late Thursday against 48-year-old Ray Anthony Miles. He remained jailed Friday on $100,000 bond in Wednesday's melee at WIBW-TV in Topeka.

The station said the man became upset after learning that it would not do a story about his problems with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Miles allegedly attacked people, including with a knife, after throwing a lamp through the station's glass front doors. None of the injuries was serious.

The public defender's office didn't immediately return a phone message from The Associated Press seeking comment Friday.
