Moments after ABC revealed that President Obama said during a taped interview with "Good Morning America" that he supports gay marriage, Fox News' Shepard Smith applauded the president, and warned conservatives not to use the evolution of Obama's view on same sex unions as part of its presidential campaign.
"The President of the United States, now in the 21st century," Smith said. "What I'm most curious about, in this time of rising debts and medical issues and all the rest, if Republicans would go out on a limb and try to make this a campaign issue while sitting very firmly, without much question, on the wrong side of history."
By contrast, Fox Nation, the aggregation website run by Fox News, did not heed Smith's advice, posting a link to ABC's story under the headline, "Obama Flip Flops on Gay Marriage."
