100 Protesters Temporarily Block Street Near DNC
Sep 5th 2012, 21:38

About 100 protesters are moving on after spending an hour blocking an intersection near the arena where delegates are meeting for the Democratic National Convention.

The group took over the intersection about a block away from Time Warner Cable Arena on Wednesday afternoon. They were surrounded by about 200 police officers. The group eventually got up and started moving again peacefully.

Many appeared to be involved with the Occupy movement, with some carrying flags with the group's "99 percent" slogan. One older gentleman was dressed in a Robin Hood mask and cap.

On Tuesday, at least 14 people were taken away in handcuffs in a vigorous day of protests.
