Calif. Gov Signs Bill for Reagan Statue in Capitol Sep 28th 2012, 14:03 Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a bill authorizing construction of a Ronald Reagan statue inside the California Capitol in Sacramento. Brown cited Reagan's courage and leadership during the signing of the bill approving the statue, and he pointed out the Republican icon oversaw needed tax hikes just like he wants to do with the help of voters in November. The Sacramento Bee (bit.ly/STZQDt) reports the bill authored by Republican Assemblyman Curt Hagman, of Chino Hills, authorizes planning for a statue honoring the former governor and president.
