1. Gas Prices Fall

The gas price drop that consumers have been waiting for is here. According to the Department of Energy, the weekly average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is $3.83, five cents down compared to one week ago.

2. Peanut Butter Recall Spreads

A company in New Mexico is recalling 76 types of peanut butter and almond butter after one of its products was linked to a salmonella outbreak at Trader Joe's. Sunland Inc. recalled the products after the FDA and federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention linked 29 cases of salmonella in 18 different states to Trader Joe's grocery stores Creamy Salted Valencia Peanut Butter.

3. Wildfire Kills 1 in Calif., Destroys 20 Homes

The wildfires in California have claimed one life, according to firefighters who found a body in a burned house on Monday. The wildfires have destroyed 20 homes and threaten to destroy several more in rural parts of the state. The 2,000-acre blaze was 10 percent contained on Monday.

4. SAT Scores Fall

Average national scores on two sections of the SAT college entrance exam are down for the high school class of 2012, the first class in which more students took the rival ACT exam. The ACT passed the SAT by less than 2,000 students out of nearly 1.65 million who took both of the exams.

5. 'Dancing With the Stars' Returns for 15th Season

Thirteen former contestants from the competition show returned to the ballroom for the premiere of "Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars" Monday night. Emmitt Smith and his partner Cheryl Burke got the highest scores of the night. Pamela Anderson and her partner Tristan MacManus were on the low end of the leader board with 17 points.
