Three of the injured were taken to Saint Joseph's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The rest of the passengers were treated at the scene.

The bus went off the road into a marshy area before it overturned. It is unclear if another vehicle was involved. There was a minor fuel and anti-freeze spill from the bus.

The ramp is currently closed and traffic delays are expected.

Passengers told the Star-Ledger newspaper that the bus was heading to a Seventh Day Adventist church event in Brooklyn.

Police are still investigating what caused the crash.
