1. Obama to Visit Louisiana After Hurricane Isaac's Damage

President Obama will campaign in the swing state of Ohio today before traveling to New Orleans to witness Hurricane Isaac's damage. He will meet with local officials Monday evening before touring the damaged neighborhood in LaPlace. The Democratic National Convention kicks off on Tuesday in Charlotte, N.C.

2. River in Louisiana Under Close Watch

Officials are now saying that the locks they were worried about on the Pearl River in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana have stabilized, allowing authorities to lift a mandatory evacuation there. The river is expected to crest five feet on Tuesday night, threatening as many as 5,000 homes.

3. Tornado Watches in Effect for Midwest

Tornado watches are in effect for parts of Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and Kentucky as remnants of Isaac move through the middle part of the country. Flood warnings are also in effect for several states that have been hit hard by this summer's drought, which means flash flooding could occur if too much rain falls too fast.

4. Popcorn Prices Spike

This summer's drought has caused popcorn prices to spike from about $20 to $30 for a 50 pound bag, according to Reuters. However, analysts predict that the chance of movie theater popcorn rising are slim.

5. Prince Harry Makes First Appearance After Nude Photo Scandal

Prince Harry will make his first official appearance today since naked photos of him surfaced following a trip to Las Vegas. He is scheduled to present the award for the Most Inspirational Child at the WellChild Awards Ceremony in London.
