Transit Van Rolls Over Pa. Woman, 96, Killing Her Sep 17th 2012, 13:24 Investigators plan to examine the transmission and emergency brake of a transit van that rolled over a 96-year-old Pennsylvania woman, killing her. The Allegheny County medical examiner's office says Rose Anderson, of Canton Township, died Saturday in a Pittsburgh hospital of trauma injuries suffered when the van rolled backward over her Friday. Anderson had just returned from shopping and was unloading her groceries when the Washington Rides van rolled backward over her. The transit service is provided by the Washington County Transit Authority. The van is operated by First Transit of Cincinnati, which has suspended the driver pending investigation. The company didn't immediately answer a call for comment Monday. State police troopers say the driver had previously reported mechanical problems with the van.
