'Billy the Kid' Tombstone in New Mexico Vandalized Jun 28th 2012, 16:24 The tombstone of famous outlaw Billy the Kid has been vandalized in New Mexico. KOB-TV reports ( http://bit.ly/LiG4ja ) that the 2000-pound gravestone was tipped over and damaged earlier this month after thieves broke into the old Fort Sumner Museum. De Baca County authorities say other graves in the cemetery were also vandalized and three antique rifles and a shotgun were stolen from the museum.
