Zimmerman Seeks Release From Jail George Zimmerman will try to convince a Florida judge to release him on bond this morning. He is currently in jail awaiting trial on a second-degree murder charge for the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. 4. Madoff's Brother to Plead Guilty Peter Madoff, brother of convicted Ponzi schemer Bernard Madoff, is expected to enter a guilty plea this morning to conspiracy and falsifying records. He has agreed to serve 10 years in jail. 5. Nadal out at Wimbledon Two-time Wimbledon champion Rafael Nadal was upset on Center Court in the second round. The number 2 seeded Nadal was beated by the 100th seed, Czech Lukas Rosol.
