ICE Agent Shot in South Texas Jul 3rd 2012, 15:08 A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent has been shot while conducting surveillance in South Texas. ICE spokeswoman Nina Pruneda says the agent with ICE's Homeland Security Investigations was shot Tuesday morning in Hidalgo County. She says the agent was conducting surveillance related to an ongoing criminal investigation. Pruneda says the special agent was taken to a hospital and is undergoing surgery for a gunshot wound.
