1 Dead in Northern Colorado Natural Gas Explosion Aug 15th 2012, 21:03 Authorities say one person is dead after a natural gas explosion north of Fort Lupton, Colo. Weld County sheriff's Deputy Randy Carter tells the Greeley Tribune (http://tinyurl.com/9dy7zru) that four people were working on a well head when the explosion happened Wednesday afternoon. One died, and the other three suffered minor injuries. Sheriff's officials didn't immediately return telephone messages left by The Associated Press. Fort Lupton is about 25 miles north of downtown Denver.
