Food City-Owned Helicopter Crashes in Va. Lake Aug 25th 2012, 06:03 A sheriff says rescue teams are searching for survivors after a helicopter crashed into a lake in Virginia. Washington County Sheriff Fred Newman tells the Bristol Herald Courier that the crash happened just before 11 p.m. EDT Friday at South Holston Lake in Abingdon, just north of the Tennessee border. It wasn't immediately known how many people were on board or whether there were any fatalities.
