Ohio Man Faces Court in Wife's Hospital Shooting Aug 6th 2012, 06:38 A 66-year-old Ohio man is being arraigned on an attempted murder charge in the shooting of his wife in a hospital intensive care unit. Akron police say John Wise of Massillon (MAS'-ih-lawn) will be arraigned on Monday in the shooting of his 65-year-old wife, Barbara. Police say Wise entered his wife's hospital room Saturday and shot her while standing at her bedside. She remained in critical condition late Sunday at Akron General Medical Center. Medical center spokesman Jim Gosky says one shot was fired and security officers reached the ICU in about one minute. A doctor was in a nearby room. Gosky says privacy rules prevent the release of details why Barbara Wise had been admitted to the ICU a few days earlier.
